Vrum boosts viewability by 30% with lazy loading and GPT optimization

Google Ad Manager

Vrum owns automotive-focused websites and apps in Brazil. Users can access deals for cars, motorcycles, trucks, & more.

The challenge

Vrum wanted to enhance the quality of their inventory by boosting viewability metrics and Ad Request CPM. Their website was also suffering performance issues due to insufficient prioritization of Google Publisher Tags (GPT).

The approach

After consulting Google’s technical team, they implemented custom Lazy Loading parameters with SRA, using event listeners to recognize when a piece of content became viewable. The team also tested removal of third-party tag solutions, which significantly reduced latency.

The results

  • +30%
    Increase in viewability
  • +84%
    Increase in AdRequest CPMs
  • +21%
    Increase in Ad Speed metrics

It was only through our partnership with Google that we were able to find the right answer to achieve the results we expected in Vrum. It is this continuous, joint work that allows us to evolve and find the best solutions to so many challenges that we Publishers face.
